Newsom threatens to go after gun businesses

Just The NewsCalifornia Gov. Gavin Newsom is threatening to create new anti-gun legislation in his state modeled after a Texas abortion law that the U.S. Supreme Court has allowed to stay in place during a legal challenge.

“If states can shield their laws from review by federal courts, then CA will use that authority to help protect lives,” Newsom’s office tweeted Saturday.

“We will work to create the ability for private citizens to sue anyone who manufactures, distributes, or sells an assault weapon or ghost gun kit or parts in CA,” the tweet added.

I'd be more worried about this if we hadn't already faced and defeated this threat. The protection of lawful commerce in arms act is still law.
