New York police deploy to liberal media organizations in wake of attack in Maryland

PJMediaAs news of the shooting at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Md., broke, police officers rushed to secure the office of The New York Times in the Big Apple. Five people have died in the shooting so far.

The motive of the shooter, whom police have identified as a white male in his 20s, remains unknown. Some have rushed to blame President Donald Trump, who referred to members of the hostile mainstream media as the "enemy of the American people." The timing on this does not make sense, however.

Why, exactly, did they deploy? The killer was caught and had a specific motive for attacking that paper. But police in New York are deploying to protect their media organizations?

They are going to try to blame Trump and/or Trump supporters and/or "fake news" for this. It's transparently obvious. It's the only reason they would put up guards around media organizations in an entirely different city when the attacker is in custody already.
