House Dems vote to make DC a state

Gateway PunditOn Thursday the US House voted to make the District of Columbia a state.
Today the Biden Administration announced they supported the bill.

Doing this legally would require a constitutional amendment, which won't pass. However, if the Dems can pass this through the House and Senate, and elect Senators from DC in 2022, or perhaps even earlier via special elections, they can use the new majority to pack the Supreme Court with a simple majority in the Senate.

The Democrats are trying to parley a very slim majority into absolute power.
