Republican governor vetoes Constitutional Carry in Oklahoma

Daily CallerRepublican Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin vetoed legislation Friday that would’ve allowed anyone in the state to carry firearms without a permit, claiming the current barriers to getting a gun are “few and reasonable.”

Fallin stressed that she is a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment and owns firearms herself, but she claimed removing the permit requirement would have an adverse effect on policing.

You can't be a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment if you oppose people bearing arms. Keeping arms is only half the right.

And this is a really bad time to piss off your voter base.
