63% of non-citizens on welfare programs


Power LineA majority of “non-citizens,” including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, the Census Bureau has found. In fact, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program. Moreover, instead of decreasing over time, the number grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more.

One of the requirements of immigration in the early days was the ability to demonstrate that you would not be a ward of the state. But Democrats prefer wards of the state. It's how they buy votes.
