Flake flakes

Outgoing Senator Jeff Flake is demanding a vote on legislation to protect Mueller from Presidential authority before he allows more nominations to pass. It's up to him only because the Republican majority in the current Congress is razor-thin and Flake himself is retiring (from the Senate, if not from politics) and thus doesn't feel bound by the desire to please the voters. It's exactly the sort of pathetic, backstabbing, weasel move that Republicans in the Senate have made routine. It won't last long, as the next Senate will be seated early next year and have a more substantial (and Flake-less) majority. But yeah, it's still infuriating.
