Grassley refers another Kavanaugh accuser to DOJ for prosecution

Plus side: There is now substantial legal risk associated with lying to destroy a nominee.

Down side: DOJ doesn't actually have to do anything with it. They can ignore the referral, like they did for the contempt citation against Holder.

Personally, I think anyone who lied -- beyond a reasonable doubt -- should be prosecuted. Start with those who openly made money on the whole thing (I'm thinking of those gofundme accounts).

In this case? She admitted to investigators that she lied. It will be hard to walk that back.

We'll have to see what DOJ does with it.
