EPIC files suit demanding Trump's tax returns

The HillA privacy group is suing the IRS for not disclosing President Trump's tax returns.

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) filed the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request on Saturday, as rallies around the country were set to take place calling on Trump to release his tax returns.

I used to respect EPIC. The irony of a privacy group trying to use FOIA to extract individual income tax records from the IRS is just embarrassing. Presidents releasing their tax records has always been a voluntary thing driven by campaign pressure. Trump chose not to release his records and won anyway. End of story.
