I'm going to completely disregard anything that isn't based on first-hand information, and frankly, the IRS is tainted thanks to the scandal under Obama, so I won't trust any "whistleblowers" from that source period.
What the ruling class seems to fail to understand is that we the people hate their guts and discount everything they tell us already. They no longer get any benefit of the doubt. Even if they find an actual scandal, I'm likely to wave my hand at the other side and say "I don't care; they are still worse."
Environmental Protection Agency issues violation notice to San Francisco. Since San Francisco has been repeatedly featured on the news as being covered in human feces, disease-ridden homeless camps, used needles, and god only know what else, this seems like common sense. I'm frankly amused by the news reporting, which tries to spin the sanitation necessary for civilization as political. And brings on environmental activists to protest that Trump shouldn't be protecting the environment.
The New York Times tries to spin parts of the IG FISA report, but there are some holes in their narrative. Readers, do not believe the leaks, because they are 100% certain to be disinformation and spin. Wait for the report. It may be good, it may be bad, and maybe a wise reader can gain some insight into the contents by reading the leaks. But don't believe the leaks.
If Barr has any brains, and according to previous reporting, individuals are being shown only those portions of the report that they are personally involved in. That means this leak likely comes from a small group of people around the individual featured most prominently in it. I'd say canary trap, but the report will be released soon anyway.
I'm going to lay this prediction marker down, just in case. I think the Horowitz report on FISA abuse will include one or more criminal referrals for specific improper acts (such as altering an email) while taking the broader position that the FBI (largely, with individual exceptions) believed they were acting in good faith, while Durham prosecutes the CIA players who arranged the setup, and possibly those involved in the Mueller investigation/coverup.
Remember, Horowitz has limited scope, and he was tasked with FISA abuse only. The CIA activities, involving Mifsud, Burina, Halper, and so on, are mostly outside of that scope... but not outside of Durham's scope.
UPDATE: Meaning In History has a similar take. And he also reminds us that that charge against Clinesmith (for altering an email) means Clinesmith is going to get squeezed for info on the Corrupt Organization known as the "resistance". It might even be appropriate to think of Clinesmith as "the first domino".
... that politicians and gender studies majors don't actually speak english, or indeed any recognizable language at all. They make imitatory mouth-noises that resemble sentence fragments, but any attempt to interpret them as meaningful and coherent speech will inevitably fail. Instead, their chosen phrases act as a kind of social signaling system. Speakers use phrases that identify their in-group status and rank.
The camera failures were a screwup. The guards not checking on him overnight was a screwup; no, two screwups, one for each guard. The bedsheets not being suicide proof was a screwup. The prior "assisted suicide" attempt with his cellmate was a screwup. The autopsy mentioning the broken hynoid suggesting strangulation was a screwup. But most of all, whatever Barr did that got him on the Deep State blackmail list and forced him to claim that Epstein killed himself? That was a screwup.
On the other hand, I think releasing this article at 9pm on Friday the week before Thanksgiving was a cry for help, like blinking your eyes in morse code to spell out "Epstein didn't kill himself".
15 jail employees subpeona'd about their role in events because "a number of the witnesses were not cooperative." The federal prison workers union claims that was done because DOJ was "unwilling to grant immunity to workers". Of course DOJ is unwilling to grant immunity to workers; it's a criminal investigation into what seems very likely to be murder!
This is one reason among many that this impeachment farce is more of a Deep State coup than a legitimate impeachment. When your major reason for impeachment is a simple policy difference between the executive branch and the President, it should be obvious who wins.
