Appellant's brief in Parker v DC
The deadline to file was June 1st, and like clockwork the brief is available from the counsel's website.  All the delays in getting this document posted and analyzed were mine; it's a big document, coming in at 80 pages, and took me a while to digest, and then even longer to put together an analysis.  To support the depth of the document I will be maintaining a table of contents in this post, and linking to areas of deeper analysis from it.

I am not a lawyer, and nothing on this site should be construed as legal advice. I'm just a layman with an opinion.

The difference between gun control activists and gun rights activists is simple: gun rights advocates know what they are talking about, because they have depth of knowledge and expertise about firearms and pay attention to the issue. Gun control advocates, for the most part, don't know anything about guns, aren't interested in guns, and only pay attention to gun issues when the latest blood-dancing press release arrives. There's no sustainability.
