UK implements Big Brother

In addition to police-monitored cameras all over the country, the government of Britain has decided to track every single user's internet usage. Data will be retained for a year and can be accessed without a warrant, simply by obtaining the authorization of a senior police officer or deputy head of department. Over 600 different government agencies will have access to this information, including police, local councils, and tax authorities. Sigh. The death of privacy is complete. |
