... and Obama is from Chicago and part of the legislature that has maintained that ban. Not that I was in any doubt that McCain was better than Obama on guns before. I'm wondering if this issue will be enough to ignite a debate on the firearms issue that will change the outcome of the election? We'll see, I guess. One awkward part: "Unlike the elitist view that believes Americans cling to guns out of bitterness, today's ruling recognizes that gun ownership is a fundamental right -- sacred, just as the right to free speech and assembly," McCain said.You mean like the First Amendment rights to free speech and assembly that your McCain-Feingold campaign finance "reform" act violated? |
