Fairbanks, AK joins opposers of Patriot Act
It's not often one hears Fairbanks mentioned in the same breath as such bastions of liberalism as Berkeley, Calif., and Cambridge, Mass. But the Fairbanks City Council is looking to join their ranks with a pair of resolutions objecting to portions of the USA Patriot Act and other recent federal directives with the argument that they infringe on constitutional freedoms. |
