an editorial by a "2nd Amendment supporter" who feels that the .50
calibre rifle is a horrifying threat that should be more restricted
than it is. I don't disagree with anything in Ravenwood's
commentary, but I thought I'd point out something that's being
overlooked. Being a "2nd Amendment supporter" is just the latest
way of sneaking an anti-gun opinion past the filters of the public, who
have conclusively rejected gun control and broadly support the 2nd
Amendment. People writing editorials say it in order to make
readers feel comfortable with their position, even when they advocate
things that are directly contrary to what they just claimed to
support. It is nothing more than persuasive rhetoric.
These so-called supporters of the 2nd Amendment are its enemies. Treat them appropriately.
