Gun-rights blogger Joel Rosenberg's name forged in threatening email...
The bill being referenced is the Minnesota concealed-carry law, back in
the legislature about being struck down by the courts on technical
grounds (single-subject legislation requirement). Here's what the
email said (in part): On the eve of a crucial vote to reinstate a law allowing more people to carry guns in public, House members received e-mails threatening harassment and blackmail if they voted against the bill Wednesday. The authorities are saying the message is a hoax. The purported sender is Joel Rosenberg, a noted gun-rights blogger. His lawyer called it a desperate, last-ditch attempt to derail the bill. Sounds about right. The antis are stooping to dirty tricks... but then, there's not exactly anything new about that, is there? UPDATE: Welcome, Instapundit readers!
