Senate ethics complaints filed against 10 Senators

“These senators improperly attempted to use the IRS to suppress the free speech of American citizens for their party’s electoral gain,” said Brad Smith, chairman of the Center and a former Chairman of the Federal Election Commission. “We will fight this type of abuse of power and work to ensure that those who have violated Senate Ethics rules are held to account.”

The 10 Democrat Senators with ethics complaints filed over their attempts to suppress political activity using the Internal Revenue Service, along with the year of their next reelection campaign, organized for your convenience:

Note how many have reelection campaigns in 2014. Chuck Schumer's seat is probably safe, but he has a leadership position in the Senate so he's helping his friends. Harry Reid of course is the Senate Majority Leader. (The ethics complaint against him was filed separately, and focused on Reid's constant attacks on the Koch brothers from the Senate floor).

UPDATE: I have located the complaint.
