Why do you ask for my zip code?

Although we don't have any features to make use of the information at present, in the future we may offer ways to contact your legislators. The information is not required if you prefer not to disclose it.

What are your email policies?

We don't send unsolicited email. You have the option to sign up for email notifications when you register and later on within the weblog area, and in the future, perhaps in other areas of the site as well. At present, changing your email options can be done through the weblog preferences section. It's a fairly complex algorithm, so please feel free to ask for help if you are having trouble.

On the preferences page, you can turn email notifications off entirely by unchecking the option named "Send email when new articles are posted". If you don't want to be selective about which emails notifications you receive, you can check the "Notify me of ALL articles via email" box and you will receive everything posted to the weblog. We have tried to make it easy to get as much, or as little, email as you want from the site.

Other email option can be changed on the Profile page.

What about the discussion forum?

The discussion forum is a mailing list that currently does not have a web-based unsubscribe option. You can unsubscribe by sending mail to forum-unsubscribe@triggerfinger.org from the email address you used to subscribe with. You can also subscribe without registering by sending mail to forum-subscribe@triggerfinger.org.
